NCT Alliance launches RM2.5b second phase of NCT Smart Industrial Park in Sepang
SEPANG (Sept 8): NCT Alliance Bhd (KL:NCT) has officially launched the second phase of the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Sepang on Tuesday. Phase 2 broke ground in November last year.
With a gross development value (GDV) of RM2.5 billion, the 230.13-acre Phase 2 will offer a total of 241 units of detached, semi-detached, cluster and terraced factories, as well as industrial land parcels. Details on the units’ built-ups and prices will be revealed later.
Phase 3 will feature more industrial offerings, while Phases 4 and 5 will introduce commercial components such as a petrol station and shoplots. The sixth and final phase is earmarked for integration into the broader development.
To recap, the entire NSIP will be developed in six phases and has a GDV of RM10.2 billion. The 230.09-acre Phase 1 comprising 280 detached, semi-detached, cluster and terraced factories has been 90% taken up.
At the launch event of NSIP’s Phase 2 on Tuesday, the first phase’s units were handed over to buyers.
In his welcome address, NCT Alliance executive director Yap Chun Theng said the buyers are from several sectors including technology, manufacturing, automotive, hospitality, ESG-related industries, as well as small and medium enterprises.
“The country's new industrial master plan 2030 is driving the manufacturing sector towards higher value, digitalisation, smart factories and the transformation of industrial estates into equal industrial parts. And NSIP is designed to support this direction,” he said.
He added that the NSIP model is also evolving to go beyond conventional eco-industrial farms because it is designed for the future. “The evolution progresses from industrial estate with smart eco-industrial farms to managed industrial ecosystems and ultimately to have a Malaysian managed industrial park model for the world.”
Officiating the launch of Phase 2 and handing over keys to buyers of Phase 1, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari said NSIP has an important role within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS) and in Selangor’s continued industrial growth.
“As the development progresses, we look forward to seeing it attract more high-value investments and create quality employment opportunities that will contribute to the state’s long-term economic growth,” he added.
Meanwhile, also at the launch event on Tuesday, NCT Alliance received the Master Services Agreement for Managed Industrial Park (MIP) from Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat, formalising NSIP’s implementation of the MIP model.
Under the MIP model, NSIP brings together centralised park management, security and digital services to support a more efficient operating environment for businesses. This includes the NCT G App, a dedicated digital platform connecting tenants with park management.
